Sustainability

As a sustainable alternative to fast fashion techniques, sustainable fashion—also referred to as green fashion or responsible fashion—is gaining popularity swiftly. The phrase “sustainable fashion” refers to clothing that is produced and used in a way that is sustainable and protects the welfare of everyone engaged in its creation, including the environment. The sustainable fashion sector places a high priority on ESG objectives like the reduction or elimination of CO2 emissions; overproduction; minimization of pollution and waste; support of biodiversity; and assurance of safe working conditions and fair remuneration for garment workers. The green fashion movement spans industry lines and is a source of dispute for both customers and manufacturers. As customer behaviour patterns show a desire for clothing made ethically and sustainably, brands and businesses are actively adopting this trend. The worldwide market for ethical fashion is predicted to expand by $5.84 billion in 2021, a considerable increase from the $4.67 billion forecast for 2020. Green fashion is a way of life, not just a trend.

Environment, social and governance

Environment, social and governance (ESG) compliance is the new-age, sustainability-based company’s strategy or a set of standards endowed with relevance for a company’s operations. Today, ESG is gaining gravitas in various companies’ production & operation mechanisms because majority of global & national investors are now keen on socially conscious screening for potential investments.
